Overview

CBT&A (Competency-Based Training & Assessment) is a modern training approach designed to meet the current demands of the job market. In this system, the focus is on practical skills rather than just theoretical knowledge. Each learner progresses at their own pace and is evaluated through hands-on, performance-based assessments to ensure they have mastered specific job-related competencies. NAVTTC (National Vocational and Technical Training Commission) is the national body responsible for standardizing and promoting technical and vocational education in Pakistan. By adopting the CBT&A system, NAVTTC began accrediting training institutes across the country to deliver vocational training aligned with industry standards. MITI (Modern Institute of Technology & Innovations) was accredited by NAVTTC as a CBT&A training provider after successfully meeting all required quality standards and evaluation criteria. This included assessments of the institute’s faculty, training facilities, curriculum, and assessment processes. With this accreditation, MITI is now authorized to offer nationally recognized CBT&A courses based on NAVTTC’s approved competency standards. These courses are designed to equip students with market-relevant skills and prepare them for employment both locally and internationally.
